FAQ
Q. Why don't you offer set packages?
A. I quote on an hourly basis. This way you can choose the hours you wish.
Q. What is the difference between your two hourly rates?
A. The $175 per hour rate gives you a fully edited package. This package gives you enhancements
(dubbed music, childhood photos, end highlights & titles).
The $100 per hour rate gives you a basic edited package. It does not contain any enhancements.
The video footage is still assembled for smooth viewing.
Q. Why is your rate less expensive than other videographers?
A. Like many other operators in the industry, I work from home. This reduces my overhead costs.
Q. How long does the first Master DVD usually run for?
A. This can vary depending on which coverage you have chosen. It is also determined by the length of the ceremony, and
speeches. An average length would be approx. 90 - 120 minutes. The final edited copies are usually a similar length,
however can be cut back to approx. 45 - 60 minutes if requested.
Q. How long after the wedding do we receive the final edited copies?
A. Upon your return from your honeymoon, I will deliver your first Master DVD and leave it with you, to watch in your own time. I will
also leave you with a music / edit form to fill out. This lets me know which dubbed music you would like added, and lets me
know of any footage you may want removed. Upon receiving the form back from you, I currently have a completion turnaround
of approx. 12 weeks.
Q. Do we get to see the edited footage before it is finalised?
A. Absolutely. Upon completion of the editing I will post you out a proof copy first. If there are any changes to be made, they can
usually be done quite promptly. I'm only happy if you are!
Q. Are you the videographer on our wedding day?
A. Yes. I am a sole operator. I have 25 years experience videoing weddings. I use professional and up to date equipment for
excellent results.
Q. Do you work well with stills photographers?
A. Yes I do. Your photographer has the responsibility of setting up and directing your family & friends, and the videographer
should respect this at all times. Dedicated and natural video shots can be done without interference of the photographer's role.
